Tadaa! Its the Autumn/Winter 2009 Campaign for Burberry photographed by fashion photgrapher Mario Testino in Westminster, a wonderfully historic landscape of LONDON.

Christopher Bailey, Creative Director of Burberry, says, “Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge…Emma’s charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.”

Apparenty, she's seriously considering giving up her acting career. This came about when she reportedly said of her future plans..., "Until something comes along and I feel as strongly as I did Hermione-- like, I felt that it was life or death -- I don't want to act again..."

A short entry...

Just finished my Test 6 today...
I'm already immune to the feeling of having tests so... biasalah~~~

anyway, the thing I would love to shout about is riding on a motorbike!

lol the feeling is so fun!
especially the first time when the Terminator brought me to school on his old bike...

and the best thing is I didn't had helmet on..
which is a scary thing and yet the adrenaline rush is awesome!

but mr.terminator finally got me a helmet this week...

and god... now I'm frustrated because bloody zits are all over my faces just because I ate 2 rows of chocolate! (which I assume is the main cause...)

Swearing 'helps to reduce pain'

Uttering expletives when you hurt yourself is a sensible policy, according to scientists who have shown swearing can help reduce pain.

A study by Keele University researchers found volunteers who cursed at will could endure pain nearly 50% longer than civil-tongued peers.

They believe swearing helps us downplay being hurt in favour of a more pain-tolerant machismo.

The work by Dr Richard Stephens' team appears in the journal NeuroReport.

Dr Stephens, from Keele's school of psychology, came up with the idea for the study after swearing when he accidentally hit his thumb with a hammer as he built a garden shed.

If they want to use this pain-lessening effect to their advantage they need to do less casual swearing Researcher Dr Richard Stephens

He recruited 64 volunteers to take part and each individual was asked to submerge their hand in a tub of freezing water for as long as possible while repeating a swear word of their choice.

They were then asked to repeat the experiment, this time using a more commonplace word that they would use to describe a table.

Despite their initial expectations, the researchers found that the volunteers were able to keep their hands plunged in the ice water for a longer period of time when repeating the swear word.

Natural response

On average, the students could tolerate the pain for nearly two minutes when swearing compared with only one minute and 15 seconds when they refrained from using expletives.

While it is not clear how or why this link exists, the team believes that the pain-lessening effect occurs because swearing triggers our natural 'fight-or-flight' response.

They suggest that the accelerated heart rates of the volunteers repeating the swear word may indicate an increase in aggression, in a classic fight-or-flight response of downplaying a weakness or threat in order to deal with it.

Dr Stephens said the findings might also explain why the centuries-old practice of cursing developed and still persists today.

But he cautioned: "If they want to use this pain-lessening effect to their advantage they need to do less casual swearing.

TV chef Gordon Ramsay is notorious for his swearing

"Swearing is emotional language but if you overuse it, it loses its emotional attachment."

Rohan Byrt of the Casual Swearing Appreciation Society said he thought the study was the first time swearing's benefits had been proved.

My say on Harry Potter andThe Half Blood Prince

first of all I wanna say Thank you so much to a lovely someone for telling me not to have much expectations when watching the recent Harry Potter movie,
mainly because friends complaint that its a let down... and total divert from the original book..
secondly because, and obviously, I got so high after watching the trailer which seems to be better than the previous movies..

well.. of course and we have already known, how could they make the film like the book..
its too... abstract at points... and I guess the movie makers are really targeting children as their audiences so it wouldn't be so dark....
and when I read from so many comments that this is the worst from all.. because comparing to others... it has no element...
well, you know what?
the main element here is darkness...
and mostly was written in a dark,gloomy feel...

how could younglings understand?
most people who never read the book would think that HP last lost its magical touch...
but of course.. by making it appealing to most people, all book fans (including me was disappointed)

but I was really disappointed long time ago... after the first movie.. LOL
so the reason why I kept watching is because of Emma Watson and a respect to JKR :D

ok, so how was the movie?
I honestly find it very very nice :D!
lol, because it was so funny and entertaining... the details are so finely expressed, easy on the eyes... and (okay start dropping jaws HP fans... ) even though I am sincerely a HP book lover, I forgot the subplots already of the sixth book... (don't despise me^^)

my alibi... I read it when I was 15 (4 years ago...how could I possibly remember).... and only once... I do not watch or read books twice...
except TRANSFORMERS... which (even though I loved it... I also felt a bit bored too the second round, I guess I just love surprises...)

why this film works? Praises for Bruno Delbonnel! The brilliant cinematographer behind the camera! and David Yates of course, the director :D I honestly think that the composition of the movie is so beautiful and the use of the environments to stay interesting and fun at all times.
The tone of the movie is excellent, and I realised how smart the dialogue has become, (I forgotten whether is it a rip from JKR works.. or the scripwriter, I meant the comedy mostly)
sarcasm and great comedic timing
I had such a wonderful experience watching the movie.

and the camera! wow! the direction of it, the way it focuses on characters of interest..
especially one part where Ginny and Harry was running through tall grasses to pursuit Bellatrix
wow...I read that it is shot with a high speed pan to keep the characters crisp as the foliage darts and blurs in their wake.
and the special effects are just AWESOME!!!!

my only complaints are the action scenes are so little..
and the magic spells are so.. subtle..
but yeah, I do agree everything major was covered up so quickly...
touch n go saja...
but it was replaced by great great great acting and film making, for once, I find Daniel Radcliffe not that irritating to look at...
(HAHA DON'T FLAME ME)

and I really wonder how are they gonna make the wedding scene....
since Bill and Fleur was absent...
and Dobby...
and THEY DIDN'T FILM THE FUNERAL! which I really wanted to see....
it was so sad... and dark yet beautiful...
